Aim 498, aged ≥ 40 years, with documented type 2 diabetes, LDL cholesterol ≥100 mg/dl and SBP >130 mm Hg
Treatment regimen
Aggressive treatment to target LDL cholesterol < 70 mg/dl and BP < 115/75 mm Hg or standard treatment to target LDL cholesterol < 100 mg/dl and BP < 130/85 mm Hg
