Aim 2850 patients (at least 1250 JEWEL I, at least 1300 JEWEL II), aged 18–80 years, with hypertension and elevated LDL cholesterol, both treated or untreated |

Single-pill amlodipine and atorvastatin, 5/10 mg/day, titrated to 10/80 mg/day, at the discretion of the physician |
